Full body treatments:

Lymphatic Massage - During lymphatic massage light, rhythmic movements are used to manually push lymph fluid through the tissues and nodes without damaging the vessels. This is a light to medium pressure massage that may use joint mobilization, light stretching, and gentle soft tissue manipulation to aid in moving fluid toward the body's lymph drains where it is transferred to the circulatory system, bringing waste products and toxins with it to be removed from the body.  Many people find this massage to be both relaxing and invigorating, and that it noticeably increases circulation of blood and energy throughout the body.

Relaxation Massage - Did you know that doctors estimate that between 75-90% of all office visits are for stress-related ailments?  Your body is wired to respond to stress, and some stress is simply part of life.  However, chronic stress keeps your body in a state of "fight or flight" and can cause headaches, digestion problems, difficulty sleeping, high blood pressure, depression, and anxiety, among other things.  During a relaxation massage, light to firm pressure and a variety of modalities are used to soothe achy, tired, and sore muscles, and relieve stress and tension. Elements may include several different styles of massage, along heated towels for the feet and/or face, and/or light stretching.  Deeper pressure may be applied to common problem areas.  A heated massage table, soft sheets, warm blankets, and calming music all contribute to the relaxation experience.

Therapeutic Massage - This massage focuses on reaching the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia.  Using firm, slow strokes and targeted deep pressure, the focus is on releasing chronic tension, increasing mobility, releasing fascia, and breaking down scar tissue.  Therapeutic massage can be a bit uncomfortable at times, but most clients describe it as a "good hurt".  As with any massage, it is important that you disclose any injuries, medications, or chronic disease to your therapist to avoid negative results.  If this is your first deep tissue massage or it has been a while, it is highly recommended that you book a 90 minute treatment to allow ample time for assessment and warming of the surface tissues, before your therapist works into the deeper structures.

Prenatal/Pregnancy Massage - This treatment is focused on relieving the common complaints of currently pregnant people, as well as preparing the body for pregnancy, and recovering from childbirth.  Depending on where you are in your journey, the application of techniques will change.  Pregnancy massage can include traditional Swedish and deep tissue massage techniques, along with specific body positioning, bolstering, and movement that aids in alleviating the physical and emotional stress that pregnancy can put on the body. If you are currently pregnant, it is very important that your doctor clears you to receive massage and bodywork before your appointment. Prenatal/pregnancy massages are offered in both 60 and 90 minute sessions, however it is recommended that 90 minute pregnancy massages be booked for clients who are currently pregnant to allow ample time for positioning, and potential bathroom breaks.

Add-ons for Full Body Treatments:

Cupping - During your full body treatment, Therapeutic cups are applied to targeted areas to manipulate fascia, relieve tension, enhance blood circulation and muscle recovery, reduce pain, and help your body fight inflammation. Cupping is not recommended for anyone with bleeding disorders, or taking blood thinners. Advise your therapist of any medications you are currently taking, including supplements.

Aromatherapy - During your full body treatment, natural and organic single-plant essential oils and organic hydrosols (herbal distillates) are utilized to enhance relaxation, support recovery, ease tension, and reinvigorate your body's immune system.  Oils will be custom selected and mixed during the appointment, and applied appropriately.  Please be sure to disclose any allergies and sensitivities to your therapist before your appointment.

Other Options:

Head, Hand, and Foot Massage (45 minutes only) - Only the head, hands (including forearms), and feet (including calves - below the knees) are treated during this massage.  Reflexology is combined with other modalities and applied to help relieve tension and stress, and relax the body and mind. This treatment often works well for clients experiencing severe anxiety, and/or those who are not yet comfortable with a full body massage treatment. For a Head, Hand, and Foot massage, the client remains fully clothed.  It is recommended that clients wear either shorts and a short-sleeved t-shirt, or loose-fitting clothing that can be rolled up to the elbow and knee. Blankets are provided to keep you cozy during the treatment, and various bolsters and heated towels may be utilized.

Chair Massage - Don't have time for a full body massage, or just need a little work between regular treatments? Curious about massage but don't want to commit to a full-body treatment yet?  Chair massage may be just the thing you need!  This is a 30 minute massage in which the client remains fully clothed, and a specialized massage chair is used instead of the usual table.  The areas of focus for a chair massage are the back, shoulders, arms, neck and head.  Very little, if any, oil is used with light to firm pressure being applied. This is a great way to ease the tension of the day without the time or monetary commitment of a full body massage.   And for those of you who are new to massage, it is a great way to see what it's all about!   Ask about professional chair massage services for your next event!
